JOB OPENING The West Boylston Police Department is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Full Time Police Officer. Minimum requirements are: Must be a U.S. Citizen, High School Graduate, Associates Degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related field, a Graduate of the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee's approved Full Time Recruit Class or waiver from equivalent training, be at least 21 years old, be duly licensed to carry firearms pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 140s131 or be capable to obtain same, and possess a valid Massachusetts Drivers License. Applicants must undergo a written examination, thorough background investigation, a Psychological assessment. Candidates must be capable of passing the H.R.D.'s P.A.T. test. An excellent benefit package including competitive pay and full Quinn Bill is available. Minimum starting pay is $ 19.92 per hour effective 7/01/08. The workweek schedule is a 4 - 2 rotation with 40 hours pay per week. West Boylston Police Department is an E.O.E.
